Sample Delay [M4L]
I was looking for an M4L equivalent for Logic's Sample Delay but apart from playing with Live's delay (which is in ms), I couldn't find any so I ended up doing mine.
It's intrinsicly a track doubler that can be used in samples, ms or time division, independendtly for left and right channel. There is also a mix knob to dial in the delayed signals with the incoming one...
Ideal stuff for widening elements such as hats.
I'll be adding features in it later, like delaying only a filtered part of the signal (to avoid phasing issues in low end - done in V1.1 !), or allowing negative delay (using latency of the device)
Keep posted !
V1.1:
- added a filter on delayed signal to tweak and avoid phasing issues
- added a correlation meter
V1.2:
- added negative sample delay using latency compensation
V1.3:
- Added link params
V1.4:
- Added feedback on delay
- Added pitch mode, where you can dial in base note for Karplus Strong synthesis effect using high feedback
V1.5:
- switched delay processor to gen~to allow for real 1-sample delay, and thus achieve full range Karplus Strong synthesis
1.6b:
- Added multi-mode filter on delay
1.7:
- skin change to my modern one
- ping-pong delay
- width setting, allowing to have delayed signal anywhere from full width to mono (notwithstanding whether you be in ping ping or not)
- a fully fledged filter in-between the delay and the feedback lane (delay output also passes through that filter)
- and finally a distortion unit inside the delay, almost at constant volume
